Conservation Agriculture cropping systems

Description

Conservation Agriculture (CA) systems (manual, animal traction, mechanized direct seeding) and associated agronomic practices, to improve the productivity, profitability, environmental, social and human domains of sustainable intensification. CA is based on minimum soil distrubance, crop residue retention and crop diversification and is a well established global concept increasingly adopted at 11M ha/ year now occupying 15% of the total arable land.
