Description

New farm diversification options (rotation, intercropping, relay and alley cropping) for rice- and wheat-based systems, managed by smallholder farmers, through integrating legumes (food/forage), root and tuber crops (potato, sweetpotato), vegetables, fruits, and/or trees, aiming at increasing land and labor productivity, profitability, soil health and on-farm diet diversity, and reducing risk and green gas emissions.
